by Matt Feazell
This is one of my favourite of the non-Marder Bean cameos. At this time Matt Feazell was doing a cute little “Dimension 10 1/2” version of Zot in the back of Scott McCloud’s book. As his character Cynicalman explains Feazell had hurt his hand and was unable to do the story this issue, and this page, with guests Zot and editor Cat Yronwode, was what he did to introduce a reprint of a Cynicalman story.
What cracks me up the most about this page is the matter of fact answer that CM gives to Zot’s question about the greatest comic book of all time. I’m not sure I fully agree (I usually give the edge to TotB #7 instead of #4), but it’s hard to argue with the general idea.
